Dietitian Information

The initial consultations are an assessment and evaluation of past nutrition habits and current nutrition status. Areas of work will be identified to improve your nutrition status prior to surgery. The pre-surgery follow-up consultation is a brief review of information from the initial consultation and the pre- and post-surgery nutrition education on the bariatric nutrition guidelines. The registered dietitian will customize the bariatric nutrition guidelines to meet the individual’s needs and goals. After surgery, patients will schedule consultations with the registered dietitian every three months for the first year. Patients receive educational materials at each nutrition consultation.
