JoeBob Kirk, DO

Dr. JoeBob Kirk has assisted in more than 2,000 bariatric surgical cases. He is a 1994 graduate of Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his residency in general surgery in 1999 at Oklahoma State University Medical Center, Tulsa. Moreover, he is involved in the medical management for non-surgical weight loss.
Prior to his involvement in bariatric surgery, Dr. Kirk was in private practice as a general surgeon. Additionally, he served as a Captain in the Army Medical Corps and his duties included those of Flight Surgeon for the 160th Special Operations/Airborne unit. When not practicing medicine, his favorite hobbies including boating and spending time with his family at the lake. He is a loyal OSU fan and resides in Tulsa.
Dr. Kirk is excited about the new areas of long-term management of patients who have had weight loss surgery. He actively promotes nutrition management, patient education and personal support for his patients. Dr. Kirk believes effective management of obesity will result in a better quality of life for the patient, their family, and their community.
